The Best of Retro VGM #3261 - Saru Get You: SaruSaru Daisakusen (PSP) - Dokotonaku Ruins
[Earlier this year I asked you which playlists you would like to see (or hear I guess) for The Best of Retro VGM's 10th anniversary, with the PlayStation/Saturn set winning the poll.
However, one day I had a pretty dumb idea: What if I did all the sets? (Except for the demoscene/keygen one, I had to cut corners somewhere.) Over time, that idea kept growing and growing, resulting in me coming up with a few MORE playlist ideas. By the time I was over, I had a giant, 251-track behemoth in my hands. Needless to say, I'll most likely never put this much effort into this channel ever again.
The sixth set in this project is "20 Years of DS and PSP", a 20-track playlist celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. Feel old yet?]

Hey! thanks for all the work you did, can't wait to listen to all of it :)
Hope you'll like it!
A Famicom Disk System fighting game that controls like Karate Champ.. Yeah, it's bad. At least the title theme is pretty awesome sounding.
I came here after listening the Claude Levender cover.
This is cool 😁
Este fue uno de los títulos de arcade más absurdos que jugué, solo lo recordé por la música 😂
Surf’s Up (GBA) GBA Exclusive, Play as Super Mario (4) Characters: Mario Luigi Peach & Yoshi
Where is gameplay?
One of the best bgm in my childhood
whoa this is a bop! love it!
生中出し68!?
Its always good when it's a song made for zero:3
one of the few awesome things x7 has 😅 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Nice track, judging from the style it's likely Barry's own cx
This is a remix of "Karaoke OK" by Alan Tam.
Tim Follin!!!
beautiful music
Will forever be the best Game Boy VGM on my book! Thank you Alberto Gonzalez for this masterpiece! <3
So good!
Finally made it to song #1000. That took forever. A really good song to end it on:3
Hope you didn't hit the mute button too often!
@@Specter227 aside from songs that I already listened to in the past which wasn't a lot I listened to the rest of the songs unmuted:D it's a great list so far.
It's definitely an easy-going track. I might write a quick midi cover for the heck of it
So strange to see a snes game as late as 1999:3
I think that's the combination of Nintendo being the only console manufacturer to support the low-end 16-bit market after 1995 and the Nintendo 64 being a huge flop in when compared to the Famicom and Super Famicom (~5 million units vs ~19 million).
@@Specter227it definitely makes since that was not the best console especially when many games were being made on CDs by this point. It's a shame that on the US they ended localizing games by 1997:/
This song makes me think of the stage 1 in burning force on the Megadrive
Is it supposed to be this fast? It plays slower in other videos in the fight.
Sounds the same as other rips I could find, including a clean music rip from the game's files. Maybe there's some in-game effect that slows the music down?
@@Specter227 Or the play speed of the video is different at normal.
The remix from the mobile game is my fav
I'm going throuh all your videos from recent to older, an certainly there are hidden jewells. So much thanks for uploading them and giving them some ligth , specially among those who never played those titles ♥
Thanks for watching!
Dude, your epic. All these years you've been sharing the most epic vgm to youtube.
Thanks! It is always great to see someone appreciate my efforts.
I just recently beat this game for the first time and it's such a great game. The ost is soooo good:3
SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash version: ua-cam.com/video/Sm3JgMa2NSY/v-deo.html
i'm about to fall asleep to this
Man 90s Sega made some swingin' tunes in the arcades.
Feels good, clear, pure, and bright. Good music for a voyage through space, or just a jaunt through a peaceful town. Thank you, Specter227.
No problem, glad you like it!
The title screen and music reminds me a lot of the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16.
Blue Monday?
Isn't this stage called "Sky Avenue?" I remember there being a Kukeiha Club arrangement of it. ua-cam.com/video/zXVKQeJe2A0/v-deo.html
Such nostalgia... I loved that game so much!
I didn't mention this before but before song #156 this was my favorite song on here and its in my top3 as of right now i forst heard on here i believe. Made me pretty emotional listening to this at one point.
I can't say this is my favorite song since #156 but this song is definitely in my top 3 favorite songs on here that I've never heard before. I've already looped it 5 times now. I don't know why I can't stop listening to it:3 EDIT: (1 HOUR LATER.....Ok, maybe my top 2 favorite songs on here now:3
More lords of thunder? Yes please:)
Why does this song have to sound so good:3
Yep. Yeeep. Reminds me of the Weatherscan Channel.
hearing a teensy bit of Casiopea
US screen- 2 brain JP screen- 7 brain

Dude you are awesome For more than 10 years and you are doing it You have my Atmos respect
